Flow wrappers are a proven way to reduce protein packaging labor. However, traditional flow-
wrappers with a top or fin seal present some drawbacks for the fresh red meat industry, including
poor presentation, high waste, and lack of printability.
Moda Pac’s patented side seal system offers all the labor-saving benefits of a flow wrapper with some unique, important benefits:
- No unsightly center seal provides good presentation which is suitable for retail
- Side seal enables full use of the top of the bag for thermal transfer printing
- No trim or scrap is cut-off as waste
- Low leaker rate, as unlike a fin seal, side seal adds no extra layers to seal through
- Fast, simple thread-up through only 4 rollers
- Rugged, sanitary wash-down construction
By printing logos, grades, safe handling instructions, dates, codes and more on the top of the
package in real time, Moda Pac solves many of the challenges raised by pre-made vacuum shrink
